The UNESCO Fellowships 2024 are available to developing countries, in collaboration with the Polish National Commission for UNESCO and the UNESCO Chair for Science, Technology, and Engineering at AGH University in Krakow, Poland. Those selected for the UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowships in Engineering 2024 will have the opportunity to work on a research project in science, technology, or engineering for six months, from October 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.

How to Apply?

  • Candidates must be endorsed by the National Commission of their respective member states.
  • The National Commission for UNESCO in the applicant’s country should email the letter of endorsement and copies of all required documents to poland@unesco.org, with carbon copies to unesco24@agh.edu.pl and j.markiewicz@unesco.pl.
  • Once a receipt is received from the National Commission, applicants should proceed to apply online using the provided link.
  • The online application form comprises four pages.
  • Applicants must complete the form in English and use capital letters only.
  • Selected candidates will be notified through their National Commission for UNESCO.

Documents needed for the UN Fellowship:

  • Valid Passport
  • Applicant’s photograph copy
  • Official transcript of degrees (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD)
  • English Language proficiency certificate if not a native speaker
  • Two letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with the applicant’s work and educational background
