The Victoria University of Wellington scholarship program is offered to international students for one year of their study program. Students who are entering their first year of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs are eligible to apply for Tongarewa Scholarship Program. These scholarships are offered based on international student academic excellence.

Scholarship Value/ Inclusions for Victoria University of Wellington Scholarship:
- The scholarship is offered to undergraduates, Master’s Research, Master’s by coursework, All postgraduate, First-year students, and School leavers.
- The scholarship will be offered for 1 year.
- The value is $5,000 or $10,000.
- More than 19 scholarships will be offered to international students.
- 10 scholarships of NZ$10,000 will be offered for Bachelors.
- 9 scholarships of NZ$5,000 will be offered for Masters’s degrees only.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be international students.
- Students must be paying fees.
- Students must be entering in the first year of their undergraduate or postgraduate degree program.

Deadline:
Application deadline to apply for Tongarewa Scholarship Program is 1 June 2023 for (Trimester 2, 2023), 1 September 2023 (Trimester 3, 2023) and 30 November 2023 for (Trimester 1, 2024).
