Turkey Summer Research Program 2024

We are excited to announce that applications for the Summer 2024 Undergraduate Research Program organized by Sabancı University are now open for international students! Through this program, undergraduate students have the opportunity to participate in research projects across various fields conducted in the laboratories of Sabancı University professors. Turkey Summer Research program will be held in Sabanci University for 8 weeks.

The Sabancı University Program for Undergraduate Research (PURE) provides opportunities for undergraduate students from both local and international institutions to participate in supervised research projects. Open to students worldwide, the Sabancı University Summer Research Program selects participants based on project requirements and applicants’ backgrounds. This international program aims to introduce students to real research challenges early in their academic careers.

Turkey Summer Research Program 2024:

The PURE Summer 2024 program will be held on the Sabancı University Campus from July 8th to August 29th, 2024. The Turkey scholarship covers all expenses for selected candidates, including round-trip airfare, accommodation, a monthly stipend, tuition fees, as well as social and cultural activities. There are no application or registration fees.

Participants in the Turkish Summer School 2024, who benefit from complimentary registration and accommodation, will receive a certificate of participation upon meeting specific requirements, which include academic performance, English proficiency, and completion of designated tasks and presentations.

Eligibility Criteria for Turkey Summer Research Program 2024:

The PURE program is open exclusively to undergraduate students, including Sabancı University students, as well as domestic and international applicants during the summer program.
The duration of the PURE summer program is 8 weeks.
Students can apply to up to 6 research projects announced by Sabancı University faculty members and researchers, prioritizing based on their research interests. However, each student can only participate in 1 project.
Selections are made based on evaluations conducted by faculty members/researchers.
Upon successful completion of the program, students receive a certificate of participation.
Students are expected to maintain good academic standing and possess adequate English proficiency to meet the requirements of their projects, with the level of proficiency varying depending on project and faculty member/researcher needs.
Registration for the program and accommodation is free of charge for admitted students. Accommodation is provided only for summer terms in shared dorm rooms on campus.
Students have access to campus facilities such as the Information Center, Cafeteria, and Sports Facilities.
Students utilizing laboratories are required to undergo “Lab Safety” training provided by Laboratory Specialists.
All participating students are expected to have health insurance.
