MIU City University Miami provides several scholarships each semester to eligible students who meet all the requirements for the scholarship. Each MIU City University Miami Scholarship awarded a scholarship will cover the full duration of the student’s program.
With this scholarship program, students can study abroad and fulfill their dream to study in USA. Almost all kinds of academic fields of study are offered at MIU University. Students can study in their interested degree program on funded or fully funded scholarship programs.
Eligibility for scholarships may depend on a variety of factors. After gathering all necessary documents, the Admissions Director will submit the student’s information to the Scholarship Committee for evaluation.

#1 EUROPEAN, AFRICAN, ASIAN, AND MIDDLE EAST UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
MIU City University Miami provides scholarships that cover twenty-five percent (25%) of the tuition cost for applicants who have completed their education at a recognized institution (secondary or higher education) in Europe, Africa, Asia, or the Middle East and intend to pursue ONLINE studies at MIU. To qualify for this scholarship, students must submit an original or certified sealed copy of their transcript from their previous institution. Additionally, an official credential evaluation completed by a recognized evaluation service must be submitted to the University. Students must also complete the scholarship application form, indicating their desired program of study and the scholarship they wish to apply for.
#2 EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS
MIU provides 50 excellent scholarships aimed to offer educational opportunities to international students in the Americas who show high potential in their careers.
Candidates who wish to be considered for this scholarship must submit a 300-word essay explaining their motivation for enrolling at MIU and why they are deemed to be high-potential candidates. Additionally, candidates must submit an updated CV (resume). MIU’s scholarship committee will review and evaluate the applications on a weekly basis and communicate the results to the candidates.
#3 GIFTED AND TALENTED SCHOLARSHIP
MIU provides scholarships covering 25% of the tuition cost for online graduate English language programs to international students who exhibit high performance and/or achievement in areas such as intellectual, creative, artistic, sports, leadership capacities, or in specific academic fields.
To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must submit a 300-word essay explaining their motivation for enrolling at MIU and why they are deemed as talented or gifted candidates. Additionally, candidates must submit an updated CV (resume).
#4 MERIT BASED UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
MIU provides merit-based scholarships covering ten percent (10%) of the tuition cost for MIU’s online or hybrid programs to both domestic and international students who have attained a minimum GPA of 2.9 in their previous studies (High School, bachelor’s or master’s). Candidates can demonstrate their eligibility by submitting an original transcript or certified sealed copy. If the degree was earned from an institution outside of the U.S., the transcript should be accompanied by an official credential evaluation completed and submitted to the University by a recognized evaluation service.
To maintain the scholarship, the awarded student must remain enrolled as a full-time student during the spring and fall semesters, maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.9.
#5 US WORKING PROFESSIONAL RESIDENTS AND CITIZENS STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
At MIU, we understand that the cost of tuition can be a major hurdle for adults who are looking to go back to college to finish or obtain a new degree. As a result, we provide scholarships that cover 25% of the tuition cost for working US residents who are interested in enrolling in our online programs.
To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must provide proof of citizenship or residency in the US (such as a US passport, driver’s license, or ID).
#6 MESCYT AND MIU SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENTS FROM THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT) has partnered with MIU to provide a full scholarship for the official accredited Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, Management, and New Technologies ONLINE program at MIU City University Miami. The scholarship is intended for excellent students from the Dominican Republic who want to advance their career with a higher degree. MIU will provide 68% of the scholarship, and MESCYT will provide 32% to cover the total tuition and fees.
#7 GLOBAL LEADERS’ SCHOLARSHIP
MIU offers a scholarship of 77% of the tuition cost to applicants who have completed their high school or secondary education from a recognized institution in Latin America and wish to pursue an ONLINE degree with MIU City University Miami. To apply, students need to provide their original or certified sealed transcript along with an official credential evaluation submitted by a recognized evaluation service. Additionally, they must complete and submit the scholarship application form with the desired program of study.
#8 HISPANIC UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP
MIU provides 5 scholarships every academic year that covers the entire cost of tuition for ONLINE programs in Spanish or English. These scholarships are available to both national and international candidates who have shown leadership or excellence in various fields such as academics, science, film, sports, politics, and more.
#9 HISPANIC LATIN AMERICAN PROFESSIONAL STUDENTS’ SCHOLARSHIPS
MIU offers scholarships for 35% of tuition costs to graduate program applicants who have completed their studies at recognized higher education institutions in Spanish-speaking Latin American countries. This scholarship is available to those who wish to continue their studies in an online master’s degree at MIU City University Miami. To apply, students must provide their transcript and an official credential evaluation from a recognized evaluation service, along with a completed scholarship application form. The MIU Scholarship Committee will review each application and evaluate compliance with the scholarship criteria.
