Applications are now open for the World Water Challenge 2025, set to take place in South Korea. This prestigious international competition is organized by the Korea Water Forum and supported by the Ministry of Environment of Korea. The challenge invites individuals from around the world who are passionate about addressing global water issues to submit their innovative solutions.
World Water Challenge 2025 in South Korea
With no application fee required, the program offers a unique opportunity for participants to contribute to solving critical water problems. Up to ten selected proposals will receive round-trip airfare, free accommodation, and cash prizes, along with the chance to present their ideas during the Korea International Water Week (KIWW) in Daegu on November 13–14, 2025. The goal of the challenge is to discover and promote effective, real-world solutions for global water challenges.

What is the World Water Challenge?
The World Water Challenge 2025 is a global platform that brings together individuals, experts, and organizations from around the world to present innovative solutions, technologies, and policy ideas to address water-related challenges. It offers a valuable opportunity for collaboration, allowing participants to share knowledge and build partnerships focused on solving pressing water issues.
Program Objectives
The main goal of the World Water Challenge 2025 is to discover and promote solutions developed within the past decade that contribute to solving global water problems and support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Following are the key areas:

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to applicants from all countries.
- Anyone with an interest in addressing water challenges is welcome to apply.
- Submitted solutions must have been developed within the past 10 years.
- No English language test (IELTS or TOEFL) is required.
How to Apply?
To apply, you must first complete the online registration on the official Korea International Water Week (KIWW) website. Once registered, applicants can access the web-based submission system and submit their proposals through the platform. Please note that proposal submission is only possible after completing the registration process.
