METI AI and Tech Internship in Japan
The METI internship in Japan will last about one and a half months. Each company will accept between 1 to 5 interns. This international program offers hands-on experience, where students will take part in real-world projects. The host companies will provide all the tools and equipment needed. They will also cover travel and accommodation costs, so interns can focus fully on learning and working without financial stress.
During the internship, participants will work on different tasks such as using AI for digital transformation or creating new business ideas, designing websites for international markets, doing market research, marketing in their home countries, and developing services for overseas customers. Chosen interns will be assigned to approved companies throughout Japan. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students to gain international experience in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the METI AI and Tech Internship in Japan, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Must be a citizen of a country that is listed as an ODA (Official Development Assistance) recipient, according to the DAC list (excluding the People’s Republic of China).

Should be able to support Japanese companies with internationalization, business expansion, and building connections with foreign universities.

Must currently live outside of Japan.

Graduated or be expected to graduate from a university.

Must have good English communication skills.

Must be available to participate in internship work and training sessions at Japanese companies.

Should also meet any specific requirements set by the host companies.
