The IMU Breakout Graduate Fellowship Program provides a maximum value of USD 10,000 per year, covering:

• 2- Eligible in all countries
• 3- Fellowship applications submitted by professional mathematicians, including retirees mentoring young students; preference for mentors who have guided the nominee
• 4- Student eligibility:
  • – Resident and citizen of a developing country
  • – Pre-accepted for a doctoral program in a developing country’s university or research institution for the first academic year after selection or already enrolled in a developing country’s doctoral program
• 5- No age limit for students
• 6- Strong encouragement for nominating female students
• 7- Fellowship granted annually, renewable based on satisfactory progress
• 8- Fellowship concludes upon completion of the doctoral program or after four years, whichever is earlier.
