The goal of the Hatfield Lioness Scholarship is to help a female student from a developing country with limited access to higher education pursue postgraduate studies at Durham University. Hatfield Lioness Scholarship at the University of Durham UK is a fully funded scholarship, initiated in 2018 during the 30th-anniversary celebration of women students at Hatfield College, Durham University, is funded by alumni, friends of the College, and other supporters who share the scholarship’s objectives.
Hatfield College intends to grant the Lioness Scholarship to an individual possessing both academic and personal qualities essential for completing and benefiting from a postgraduate program. The international student should also serve as a positive representative of their home country in Durham, utilizing the knowledge and skills gained from the master’s program for the betterment of their society upon returning home.

Scholarship Value/ Inclusions for Hatfield Lioness Scholarship at the University of Durham UK 2024:
The scholarship will cover the following for one academic year:
- Full payment of university tuition fees
- Stipend to cover living expenses
- Round-trip economy airfare from the home country to the UK, including travel between the UK airport and Durham City
- Provides accommodation
- Settling-in allowance upon arrival
- Covers the cost of a Visa.
The scholarship does not include funding for dependents or travel expenses during the scholarship period. Accommodation is provided only for the scholarship holder; dependents cannot be accommodated.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Possess a pertinent honors degree meeting the required standard for admission to their selected Master’s course;
- and Fulfill all additional entry criteria, including the necessary English language qualification.

- and Lack the financial resources to pursue a Master’s degree in the UK otherwise.
