Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the ECTRIMS Fellowship Program 2026, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be scientists or physicians who either hold a degree or are currently pursuing an MD, PhD, ScD, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Candidates must complete their advanced degree before the start of the fellowship.
- Applicants should not have worked at the same host institution in the past.

Cannot work under the same supervisor again.

Candidates must have no more than five years of postdoctoral experience following their final degree (PhD, MD, ScD, BSc, or an equivalent qualification).
- Applicants should be younger than 40 years at the time they apply.
- The fellowship is open to citizens from all countries.
- Selected fellows must carry out their research training in a European laboratory or clinic.
- European applicants are required to work in a laboratory or clinic located in a different European country from their country of citizenship.
- Both the applicant and mentor must be able to communicate without language barriers throughout the fellowship.
