Applications to DESY Summer Student Program in Germany for academic year 2022 is now open for International students. DESY Student program is a fully funded program offered to worldwide students enrolled in undergraduate degree programs.

DESY Summer Student Program:

Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY is a Research Centre of the Helmholtz Association located in Germany. International students are invited every year for summer student program. Students which are studying bachelor degree programs in the fields of physics, related natural science, Computing & engineering disciplines are encouraged to apply for DESY Summer Student Program.

Students are provided with subsistence allowance of 1200 Euro per month.

Eligibility Criteria:

Following eligibility criteria is required for DESY Summer Program:

Student must be enrolled in undergraduate degree program in the discipline of physics, related natural science disciplines or computing field.
Student must have completed 3 years of undergraduate education at the time of applying for DESY Summer Student Program.
Student can also apply if they have completed bachelors degree and are studying Master degree program.
Student must not have completed Master degree.
Student must not have already attended DESY Summer Student program.
Student should have computing skills.
Excellent English language command.

Projects that Student will Involve In:

Program A: Photon Science
Program B: Research in Elementary Particle Experiments, Accelerators, Theory of experimental particles and Computing
Program C: Research in Astroparticle Physics

Documents Required:

Student must upload all the required document in pdf format, following are the documents required:

CV (curriculum vitae), It should contain personal data, educational history / relevant work experience, computing and other relevant work skills.
University grade certificates.
Applicants from Non-EU and Non-EEA Countries are requested to include in the upload document a copy of their valid passport in English language.
Two reference letters.
