This program is fully funded and is for students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Each year, DESY invites up to 100 students from around the world to spend 8 weeks gaining practical experience and training at a major international laboratory.
DESY Summer Student Program 2025 in Germany
The program will run from 22nd July to 11th September 2025. There is no application fee, and you don’t need an IELTS score to apply. Selected international students will work on research projects in Physics or related fields like computing and engineering at DESY laboratories in Hamburg or Zeuthen (near Berlin).

Eligibility Criteria:
- You must be a final-year undergraduate student or a first-year Master’s student by the summer of 2025.
- Applicants should have completed at least three years of undergraduate studies in physics, a related natural science field, or computing.
- Students who have already completed a Master’s degree or will finish one by summer 2025 are not eligible to apply.
- Students enrolled in a Master’s program are eligible.
- You must not have participated in the DESY Summer Student Program before.

- Certificate of Enrollment: Issued by your university, this document must confirm your enrollment for the full program period, from early July to mid-September 2025.
