Eligibility Criteria for AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship:

1. You should still be in high school and expect to graduate by June 2023.
2. If you’re studying in the USA or are a US citizen, you can’t apply.
3. If you’re in the IB system, you need to plan on graduating with a full diploma and have at least 3 HL (Higher Level) subjects.
4. If you’re following the British A levels, you must complete 13 years of study and have 3 A levels before August 2023.
5. Your grades should be at least 3.8 out of 4.0 in grades 9 through 12.
6. You should have a track record of leadership, volunteer work, community service, and development in your home country.
7. Preference is given to students who have faced challenges and come from diverse, underdeveloped backgrounds.

For English language requirements:

• TOEFL IBT score of 95 or higher with sub-scores of 24 or more in the paper-based test and 20 or higher in other categories.
• IELTS score of 6.0 or higher.
• SAT Reading subscore of at least 33.
• ACT English score of at least 29.
• PTE score of at least 65.
• Duolingo score of 120 or higher with sub-scores of 110 or more.
• Cambridge Assessment English score of 185 or higher with all sub-scores of 169 or more.
