Scholarship Value/ Inclusions for MBZUAI Scholarship in UAE 2026

  • The scholarship covers the full tuition fees for all selected students.

  • International MSc students receive a monthly stipend of AED 15,000.

  • International PhD students receive a monthly stipend of AED 17,500.

Eligibility Criteria

Masters Program

  • Candidates must hold a four-year bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification recognized by a UAE college or university.

  • Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 from an accredited institution.

  • Proof of English proficiency is required, with one of the following: TOEFL iBT (90 or above), IELTS (6.0 or higher), or EmSAT English (1550).

  • A Statement of Purpose of up to 800 words must be submitted.

  • At least two recommendation letters are required from referees.

  • Candidates must pass an entry test.

  • A successful admission interview is mandatory.

Doctoral Program

  • Applicants must have both a bachelor’s and master’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0.

  • Proof of English proficiency is required, with one of the following: TOEFL iBT (90 or above), IELTS (6.0 or higher), or EmSAT English (1550).

  • A Statement of Purpose of up to 800 words must be submitted.

  • A Comprehensive Research Statement is required.

  • At least two recommendation letters are required from referees.

  • Candidates must pass an entry test.

  • A successful admission interview is mandatory.

  • Copy of a valid passport with the unified ID number.

  • National service completion or exemption letter (for UAE national males only).

  • Family book (or mother’s family book for Abnat Mwatnat applicants).

  • UAE birth certificate (for Abnat Mwatnat applicants).

  • Mother’s valid Emirates ID and passport.

  • Valid UAE visa (for non-GCC Abnat Mwatnat applicants).
