Taiwan ICDF Scholarship Program 2026

The Taiwan ICDF Scholarship Program supports students from developing countries who want to help their home nations achieve long-term development. This fully funded program offers master’s and Ph.D. study opportunities at partner universities in Taiwan. Through this scholarship, students can build the skills needed to support economic growth, improve human resources, and contribute to stronger international cooperation and development in their countries.

The International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) offers 32 academic programs under this scholarship. Students from many fields can apply, including Agriculture, Business Administration, International Studies, Health, Mechatronics and Automation Engineering, Electric Power Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Disaster Management, Pharmacy, Arts and Creative Industries, Educational Leadership, Tourism and Hospitality, and Urban Governance.

Scholarship Value/ Inclusions for Taiwan ICDF Scholarship Program 2026

The scholarship provides round-trip economy-class airfare for selected students.
It offers free housing in a student dormitory.
All tuition fees are fully covered by the scholarship.
The program also pays for credit fees required for the courses.
Students receive insurance that includes medical, accident, and safety coverage.
Approved textbook costs are also funded.
A monthly living allowance is provided, which is NT$15,000 per month for bachelor’s students.
A higher monthly allowance of NT$18,000 is offered to master’s students.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be citizens of a country eligible for the TaiwanICDF Scholarship and must also meet any extra requirements set by their own government.
They must not be citizens of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and cannot apply as overseas compatriot students.
They must meet the admission criteria of the partner university they choose under the TaiwanICDF Scholarship.
They must satisfy all visa rules for the Resident Visa (Code: FS) and the Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) as required by Taiwan’s government. If they fail to meet these visa conditions, the scholarship can be canceled.
They cannot receive any other Taiwan government-funded scholarship, such as the Taiwan Scholarship, during the same academic year.
They cannot apply for the scholarship in consecutive years. Former recipients of TaiwanICDF, MOFA, or MOE scholarships must have completed their previous program by July 31, 2025, to apply for the 2026 intake.
They must submit their highest-level diploma by July 31, 2026. If they cannot provide it by that date, they will need to apply in the next scholarship cycle.
Applicants must not have had any scholarship cancelled by Taiwan’s government or related organizations, and they must not have been expelled from any university in Taiwan.

How to Apply for Taiwan ICDF Scholarship Program 2026?

Applicants must complete the online application using the TaiwanICDF Scholarship Online Application System.
All required documents must be uploaded, and the information provided must be accurate and complete to avoid disqualification.
Each applicant is allowed to apply for only one program.
A separate application must also be submitted directly to the selected university or program.
Applicants must provide any additional documents requested by the TaiwanICDF partner university before its admission deadline.
