The CSIS Internships 2023 in the USA are now accepting applications. The CSIS, which stands for the Center for Strategic and International Studies, is a think tank organization based in the United States that studies worldwide issues and devises workable solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. Both international and U.S. citizens can apply for the paid CSIS internship program.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • To apply for the CSIS Internship 2023, you must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen residing outside of the United States.
  • You must have completed at least two years of undergraduate or master’s degree, be a graduate student, or a recent graduate.
  • Non-U.S. citizens may apply for CSIS internships, but they must obtain a J-1 visa on their own, as CSIS does not provide visa sponsorship for interns.
  • The J-1 visa is the most common visa for foreign nationals who wish to intern in the United States.

Deadline:

CSIS offers internship programs on a semester basis, including Spring (January – May), Summer (June – August), and Fall (September – December). However, due to the high volume of applications, only positions listed on the career page are accepted. Typically, Summer internship opportunities are posted in February, Fall internships in July, and Spring internships in October. As CSIS programs update their plans, they will post intern opportunities on their website. All applications must be submitted electronically through the online applicant tracking system, and direct mail or in-person paper submissions will not be accepted.
