Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship 2026

Students who want to continue their studies in Ireland can now apply for the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES) 2026. This international scholarship supports international students who plan to study Master’s, Postgraduate Diploma, or PhD programs at universities in Ireland.

The program is jointly supported by the Irish Government and participating Irish higher education institutions. For the 2026 academic year, 60 students will be selected to study in Ireland for one academic year. The scholarship is open to students from all academic backgrounds, and classes will start in September 2026.

Students who are currently completing their bachelor’s degree can also submit an application. All candidates must apply online through an approved Irish institution before the closing date.

Scholarship Value/ Inclusions for Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship 2026

Students selected for the GOI-IES will receive the following support:

Annual Allowance: A payment of €10,000 to help with living and study expenses.
Fee Support: The university will cover all tuition and registration costs.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet these conditions:

- Nationality: Applicants must be from countries other than non-EU, non-EEA, non-Swiss, and non-UK nations.
- Admission Offer: A confirmed offer from an Irish institution is required.
- Eligible Program: The course must be at Master’s, Postgraduate Diploma, or PhD level.

How to Apply?

To apply for the scholarship, follow the process below:
1. Apply to an Irish Institution: First, submit your application directly to an eligible university or college in Ireland.
2. Academic Review: The institution will review your academic background and course suitability.
3. Course Requirements: The selected program must be full-time, campus-based, and run for at least one year.
4. Institution Confirmation: The institution must officially agree to accept students under the GOI-IES program.
