TMU Elite Short-Term Exchange Program

Taipei Medical University is offering the fully-funded TMU Elite Short-Term Exchange Program 2024 in Taiwan, for international students designed for students eager to study at a premier medical institution and experience life in Taipei City. Spanning five months from September 2024 to January 2025, this program offers students the chance to study alongside professionals and international peers, enhancing their educational experience through healthcare courses and immersive cultural activities.

Students will attend a six-hour weekly intensive Mandarin course to fully immerse themselves in the Chinese language and culture. This is a fully funded scholarship in Taiwan. A medical-related course of six hours per month. A three-month project providing hands-on practice and theoretical study. Visits to various medical institutions, a pharmaceutical factory, VIP wards, a laboratory, a medical simulation education centre, and a VR experience space. Excursions to Taipei 101, The National Palace Museum, Jiu Fen Old Street, E-DA Theme Park, and Nantou.

Eligibility criteria

  • Be a citizen of one of the following countries: Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Australia, or New Zealand.
  • Have a background in biological science, healthcare, laboratory work, data analysis, or a related medical field.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or be in their sophomore, junior, senior year, or higher.
  • Provide proof of having at least $1000.
  • Have not previously received any financial assistance or scholarships from the Government of Taiwan or any other Taiwanese educational institutions.
